a web-based source of authoritative taxonomic information and related data
a tool to facilitate collaboration among taxonomic experts and a mechanism for efficient dissemination of their research

Users roles

Member: every person registered in the portal.
Contributor: member that provide data or observations to be incorporated into the website main pages.
Reviewer: member providing objective solicited reviews of content submitted by contributors
Editor: member taking editorial decisions regarding all aspects of the site’s content, including contributed content. Several editors will form the Editorial Board.
Administrator: member able to provide technical support and perform tasks for the maintenance of the website.
